These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the youtube transcriber Chrome extension and this website. By installing or using the extension, or by using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the extension or website.

Čo produkt robí

The extension displays caption tracks made available on YouTube watch pages in an in-page panel. It can copy caption text, optionally add timestamps, and seek the player when you select a transcript line. The extension does not create captions, guarantee that a video has captions, or operate a cloud transcription service.

Subject to these Terms, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to install and use the extension for lawful purposes. No ownership rights in the extension, website, branding, or source materials are transferred to you.

You are responsible for how you use or share transcript text. You must comply with applicable law, the rights of video and caption owners, and the terms that apply to the YouTube content you access. You may not use the extension or website to:

• infringe copyright, privacy, contractual, or other rights;
• bypass access controls or restrictions imposed by YouTube, Google, a content owner, or your organization;
• interfere with, damage, overload, or probe the extension, website, or related services;
• distribute malware or use the product for unlawful activity; or
• misrepresent an affiliation with youtube transcriber.

YouTube and Google are third-party services that we do not control. Your use of them remains subject to their own terms and policies. Caption availability, format, accuracy, language selection, and access may change without notice. YouTube changes can interrupt extension features or make them unavailable for particular videos or pages.

Caption extraction and transcript display occur in the YouTube page context in your browser. Settings and a temporary transcript cache are stored locally through Chrome extension storage. The product may send limited anonymous usage telemetry and sanitized error reports when those features are enabled; it does not send transcript text in those reports. This website uses self-hosted Umami for anonymous visit analytics. See the Privacy Policy for the data types, purposes, and retention details.

Spätná väzba

If you send suggestions or other feedback through the in-extension feedback form or uninstall survey, you allow us to use that feedback to maintain and improve the product without an obligation to compensate you. Do not submit confidential information. Feedback forms are optional and are operated as described in the Privacy Policy.

Zmeny, pozastavenie a ukončenie

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the extension or website, including in response to browser, Chrome Web Store, or YouTube changes. We may end your license to use the product if you materially breach these Terms. You may stop using the product at any time by uninstalling the extension.

Vylúčenie záruk

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the extension and website are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We do not warrant that captions will be available, complete, accurate, current, or suitable for your purpose, or that the product will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Obmedzenie zodpovednosti

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the maintainer of youtube transcriber will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, business, opportunity, or goodwill arising from or related to the extension, website, YouTube content, or your use of copied transcripts. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid to use the product during the 12 months before the claim or US $10. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.

Zmeny týchto podmienok

We may revise these Terms to reflect product, legal, or service changes. The updated date at the top identifies the current version. Continued use after revised Terms take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
